William Merritt Chase Art History Lecture by Neill Slaughter
St. John’s Episcopal Church welcomed more than 75 guests for a special community cultural arts program featuring an art history lecture by Neill Slaughter on American painter William Merritt Chase. With attendance exceeding expectations, the program was moved from the Parish Hall into the church, where the larger audience enjoyed a warm introduction from the Rev. Jeremy Carlson and an engaging presentation.
The evening was filled with art, history, humor, and lively storytelling, including memorable anecdotes from Chase’s life and travels. Following the lecture, guests gathered in the Parish Hall for wine and a generous selection of hors d’oeuvres, bringing a wonderful evening of learning and community fellowship to a close.
