Wednesdays in Lent at 7:30 PM | After Evening Prayer & Lenten Soup Suppers at 6:15 PM
“To be in Christ is to be a living exegesis [interpretation] of the narrative of Christ, a new performance of the original drama of exaltation following humiliation as the voluntary renunciation of rights and selfish gain in order to serve and obey.”
So says Michael J. Gorman, the Raymond E. Brown Professor of Biblical Studies and Theology at St. Mary’s Seminary & University in Baltimore, in his book “Cruciformity: Paul’s Narrative Spirituality of the Cross”. During Lent we will examine this book to see the lessons it teaches us as Christians as we seek in Lent ot conform ourselves to the image and likeness of Christ.
