Worshipping During COVID-19

In order to keep our services safe for our parishioners and guests, services held in the church will follow strict social distancing and safety protocols established by the State of New York and the Diocese of Long Island. All services are Live-streamed and recorded on Facebook.  Worshippers will be able to participate in services either inside or outside in tents via live video and audio feeds.

Required protocols for attending church in person at St John’s:

Everyone is encouraged to use their own best judgement in deciding if they are of a vulnerable segment of the population for the COVID-19 disease and how to worship with us.

If you are feeling ill or are running a fever, please stay home until you are recovered. Non-touch thermometers are available upon request should you need them.

A cloth face covering is required to be worn at all times whenever visiting the St. John’s campus. If you arrive without a mask, one may be provided for you to use.

Hand sanitizer, tissues, and other hygiene supplies are offered in the church and tents.

Please observe responsible social distancing of at least  6ft between persons not in your party.

Single-use bulletins, including the entire order of service, the readings, and the hymns, are available in proximity to the tents and at the entrance to the church.

Your offering can be placed in the alms basins (collection plates), positioned at the rear of the church and near the tents.

Please enter and exit the church through the main entrance facing S. Main Street. Please observe a distance of six feet from those not in your party. Weather permitting, open-air tents are used for outdoor worship. All other safety rules apply in the tents. For worship inside the church, please be seated in pews marked with blue tape indicating use for that service, provided there is at least six (6) feet between worshiping parties.
