The St. John’s Altar Guild is entrusted with the responsibility for the weekly preparation of the chancel and its furnishings as appropriate in accordance with the seasonal calendar of the Episcopal Church. To serve God and this parish, the Altar Guild sets up and dismantles the altar for all services, cares for holy vessels, linens and books, assists the Rector as requested with weddings, baptisms and funerals, and provides training for new Altar Guild members. Comprised of women from the parish family, the Guild is lead by Elizabeth Deneny, Chair.
